Our Pastors

Reverends Ryan and Serina Nelson were called to serve the Lord at Church Street Church of the Nazarene in December 2018.  They began preaching on January 6, 2019 and have graced the pulpit with the words of the Lord!  The church is blessed by their leadership and love of Christ.

The Nelsons met in high school and were married in 2011.  They reside in Carlsbad with their precious daughter, Marley Marie, and their fur babies, Ruger, Holly, and Elvis.

Ryan grew up in Amarillo, TX. Ryan started in ministry as a youth pastor at North Beacon Church of the Nazarene in Amarillo in 2007. Ryan and Serina served as youth pastors from 2007-2013.
